Beware Krav Maga Imposters! - Train with the best!
The Institute of Krav Maga Scotland is the largest International
Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) affiliated organisation in Scotland, and
one of only 2 organisations in Scotland who are part of the IKMF.
Krav Maga means 'contact combat' in Hebrew and is a general term recognised as the most effective and reality tested self defense system in the world.
Unfortunately other organisations use this term to teach other systems which are not as effective, tested, or realistic as the system and techniques we teach.
Our instructors have undertaken what is widely regarded as the most comprehensive and demanding instructors course in self defense circles and regularly attend training and updates with the expert Global Instructor Team from the IKMF to ensure we are teaching the most effective and up to date system, direct from the source.
Other organisations teaching what they term as Krav Maga do not benefit from this expert tuition.
Although we do not want to put down any other system we are confident that the IKMF offer the best training, support, guidance and the highest standards in the area of Krav Maga.
This is why we are proud to be part of this organisation and strive to learn from the best, so we can teach you the best. If you are considering learning a self defense system such as Krav Maga then please make sure you fully research what you will be learning.
There is no such thing as 100% security and safety, but placing your confidence in systems that dont work, and that are poorly regulated and have no grounding in reality, may cost you more than your monthly membership fee!
I'm sure you will all find it easy to find all the information you want to regarding Krav Maga on the internet, and clubs who are teaching this system. For your own peace of mind we would always recommend an IKMF affiliated organisation as opposed to independent or other 'brand type' organisations.
