On the final day we went to the cemetery tvisit the grave of the founder of Krav Maga, Imi Lichtenfeld. Eyal talked about Imi's life and his experiences with him and gave a fascinating insight to the life of a remarkable man.
We then returned to Wingate for a final training session with Tamir. The session focussed on control and restraint of an attacker, and again participants were introduced to a variety of new Krav Maga techniques.
At the same time, Amnon conducted the final part of the grading for those who chose to test. The students where scrutinised very closely and worked very hard for the duration of the test. Around half those tested were successful, with two of the three IKMS students who tested gaining their next grade. One of the guys was not successful but remained in Israel for another week and tested again before leaving and passed.
Overall the trip was an amazing experience. We made many new friends, trained with the worlds best Krav Maga Instructors, and managed to cram in lots of sightseeing in the Holy Land. The Institute of Krav Maga Scotland plan to return to Israel to take art in this event next year, if you would like to join us, please contact us for details
