An early rise the next day and we set off for Haifa in the north of Israel, stopping on route at at the Bahai Temple and gardens for some sightseeing. We then visited an Israeli Police Training School, where two of their Krav Maga Instructors gave us a tour and took us to see their Museum. the museum depicted the history of the Israeli Police since the state was formed in 1948. This tour was fascinating, and the level of knowledge of the Krav Maga Instructors was very impressive. The array of memorabilia and weapons from previous conflicts and crimes was huge. Interestingly, much of the crime they had to tackle was drug related, and very similar to the problem s we have here.
Next stop was a Kibbutz. Ein Hamifratz Kibbutz near Haifa is home to IKMF Krav Maga Instructor Shimon Harpaz, and he welcomed us to the Kibbutz with some Krav Maga training in the grounds. After lunch in the communal dining hall, Shimon, who was a close personal friend of Imi Lichtenfeld gave a short talk about Imi and Krav Maga and then gave a demonstration/lesson in Krav Maga mental training.
The final stop of the day was Acre, the historic port in the north of Israel, where we had a quick sightseeing stop before travelling back to Netanya.
