Krav Maga Training in Israel part 4

Starting off to climb MasadaThe next day we travelled south from Jerusalem into the Judean Desert and headed for Masada. Upon arrival Amnon informed us that on previous IKMF Tour and Train's there had been individuals who chose to run to the top of the mountain fortress and that the current record was 16 minutes! It took most of us a little longer than that to reach the top, although Alan Clark did run all the way and was sub twenty minutes!

Upon reaching the top, we had a fascinating guided tour of the historic site led by Shalom followed by a few hours training in one of the old Roman water cistern. This massive cave like room was full of dust and the ground was uneven and boulder strewn, making the Krav Maga training extremely challenging, but great fun!!

Krav Maga in the mud!We finished the day by visiting the Dead Sea where we took a dip, rolled around in some mud that is meant to have therapeutic properties, and soaked in the hot sulphur spring.

Next Day..
