Institute of Krav Maga Scotland instructor, John Miller, accompanied four IKMS students, Alan Clark, Fraser Duncan, Scott Ferguson and Alex Dantchov to Israel, the birthplace of Krav Maga, to take part in the International Krav Maga Federation 2010 Tour & Train.
The event was organised by the International Krav Maga Federation and was lead by IKMF Head Instructor Eyal Yanilov. Eyal and his team of Expert level Instructors including Amnon Darsa, Tamir Gilad , Zeev Cohen and Shimon Harpaz, took the participants for ten days of Krav Maga training covering various aspects of the system.
In addition to training in a variety of different environments, the guys also toured around Israel, visiting Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Acre, Masada and the Dead Sea.
The guys arrived in Israel on the 30th December and travelled to the coastal resort of Netanya, where the event was based.
Training began on the 31st with Amnon and Tamir taking the group to train on the beach in front of the hotel , followed by an afternoon session in the Wingate Institute. Amnon and Tamir covered the basics of the system and introduced a variety of different training methods.
The evenings entertainment consisted of a group dinner (as much as you could eat and drink!) then we saw the New Year in with a bang in some of Netanya's many bars.
